Challenge
A multi-generational legacy baking family partnered with a craft connoisseur to open a bakery, returning old-world artisan bread to the neighborhood where their St. Paul baking story began in 1888. Their uncompromising dedication to technique and quality demanded an equally crafted approach to brand and marketing.
Opportunity
Great bread takes time. “Razava” was a dark, nutritious bread born centuries ago in Eastern Europe. While almost nobody remembers what true razava tasted like, the hearty, healthful bread embodies the characteristics baked into every loaf at Razava Bread Co. Wholesome sourdough breads, bagels, and flatbreads with complex flavors and textures are achieved only through patience and careful technique.
Outcome
We built a brand honoring and modernizing old-world craft—then showcased it in the months before opening via social media, community events, and influencer outreach. Partnerships with local media like MSP Magazine, Pioneer Press, and Eater MN ensured foot traffic at opening and drove repeat visits.
